Welcome to My Blog!
Here to share on my corner of the world :)
Let's talk about the importance of recognizing your strenghts and weaknesses.
Self-awareness is very important in growing as a person. Oftentimes, we do not realize we are in charge of the outcomes of our lives. This simply means that what you do will affect you, be it positive of negative.
Self-awareness acts a major strenght when it comes positivitely changing your life. You notice the things that pulls you down, the people you are choosing to be around, the habits you've picked up, and many other aspects of you that you are including in interactions. Learn to become aware. It will help you so much. Honestly speaking, it takes little to no effort to criticize others and see their downfalls. However, when it comes to our own, we turn a blind eye to say "oh, that's just who I am." If you know who you are, why not work on changing for the better. It'll do more good than harm.
You have a habit of being yourself, and like all habits, you can break that habit of being yourself. You do this through little things such as minding the way you speak to yourself, the types of thoughts you want to entertain, living in a negative past, and so on. I will go more in depth later on.
Science and Self-awareness
In my culture, we learn about how we are connected to science through our cultural habits. As an Indian descent (a Guyanese), there are certain practices that we do such as eating with our hands, doing pranams (clasping our hands), sitting on the floor with folded feet, meditation, yoga, certain types of exercises/massages, and so much more. Generally, people look at us weird but these practices are ancient that dates millions of years in time. This just goes to show that there is limited knowledge that man has but as they become more aware and start to implement these practices, they begin to see the multi-benefits that stem from doing so. Similarly, sometimes we tend to overlook our own selves when in reality, we are the ones who know ourselves in and out. Becoming aware of the things we do and why we do them is important in our daily lives. There's a science behind everything and not all of it is understood. Take the time to learn about traumas, behavioral patterns, self-talk (or as I like to call all things about the self: self-everything), and psychology.
